Great News For Travellers!
It is a new dawn as Switzerland just announced that it is reopening 15 border crossings
with Austria, France and Italy in its second phase of the partial easing the COVID-19
restrictions.
It is a small step, but an important one for all of us who love to travel Europe. This relaxation means friends, families and lovers divided by the boarder closures will be able to meet again. Only three months ago such restrictions were unimaginable. Even better news is that Germany and Austria have also begun to relax their border restrictions with France is planning a full reopening in mid-June.
“We will have a summer tourist season promises the EU”. But it still may be too early to make your travel plans. How far this re-opening goes depends on infection rates. Also, there is the issue of airlines, trains and other means of travel still a big question about reopening. But we can all hope!
SelfTour™ guide Apps is also preparing for this reopening by launching four new walking tours in Europe. These “uniquely different” new walking tour apps include…
Paris La Cité – Explore the “Heart of Paris” including the two islands of Ile La Cite and Ile Saint Louis, plus the East and West Banks of the Seine.
Prague – Walk the “City of a Hundred Spires” considered one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in Europe.
Barcelona Gothic Quarter – Wind your way through the maze of the “Quarter” and along La Rambla, where history combines with a contemporary, hip vibe.
Dubrovnik – Discover the lifestyle and fascinating sites of this completely walled ancient Old Town called the “Pearl of the Adriatic.”
All SelfTour™ Apps are tours designed to be used individually by just you, with your virtual guide using your smartphone or pad. You are not exposed to a live, foreign guide with a gaggle of other tourists from wherever. A SelfTour is the safest way to see the sights you want to see during these difficult times!
